Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God who comes into the world to heal the separation between God and humanity caused by sin. He does this through the atoning sacrifice of His death and resurrection and offers salvation to all who will commit to be His disciples. We believe that Jesus will ultimately judge each one of us and will someday return to establish a permanent reign of peace, love and justice. (see Acts 4:11-12; John1:1-18; John 14:8-11)
Sin is the condition of estrangement from God, evidenced by our selfishness and which marks the whole human race. Sinful actions, words and thoughts are evidence of this condition and serve to deny the presence, purpose and reign of God. Human beings are unable to change this condition by our own efforts or power. (see Psalm 51; Romans 3:9-18; 7:13-20)
God offers his undeserved sovereign love and unmerited favor to all(we call this ‘grace’). Salvation is the forgiveness of sin, deliverance from sin’s cycle of bondage and pain and the gift of new life in Christ Jesus. It is a process that begins now and is completed with God in heaven. (see Mark 2:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; Romans 5:15-21)

...about the Church?
The church of Jesus Christ is a worldwide community of all who believe in and live under the lordship of Jesus Christ. It exists to serve others in love, worship God in all ways, reach out to the lost and hurting, nurture and encourage one another and grow in faith and knowledge as it makes disciples for Jesus. United Methodists share a common heritage with all Christians everywhere who claim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (see Matthew 16:13-20; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; John 17:18-23)
